>>51481790Eh, I'm still of the opinion that Bug just isn't a higher thematic priority over its others 2 Types. Sure fine it's based heavily on a bug, but it isn't ACTUALLY an insect. The compound eyes and antenna are fakes and the wings just look like bug wings superficially in shape. If you HAVE to choose between the 2, Flygon is pretty clearly more biologically a dragon which happens to happens to look like a bug superficially, and in its life cycle.
Of course, Flygon would still clearly be worthy of Dragon/Bug Typing but the problem is unfortunately this entire evo line is UNDIVORCIBLE from its Ground Type, it very heavily centers around sand and is the embodiment of the desert. It's literally called "spirit of the desert". Trapinch makes pit traps. You can't take Ground away, especially because the ENTIRE POINT of this evo line is to be a pun on the term "sand dragon". Ya got yer sand, ya got yer dragon. Ground/Dragon. It ain't literally an insect so the SAND DRAGON'S other 2 Types must take precedent over Bug.
