Even though the retirement bait was stupid, it was a dumbed down version of things that are important, questions and anxieties that arrive when you've been good at something for a long time. The answer, to really respect newcomers and their passion and new methods while constantly challenging yourself and realizing that you always have more to learn, was a really good and meaningful answer. Plus, more backstory, more character development, exceptional voice acting--- even from a Cynthia fan there's a lot to love in this episode.
I dunno this episode had a lot of soul, it touched on the key beliefs of the series, and the battle was good. Here's hoping for at least another 25 years and many happy returns.
