Why do people want this?
It makes literally zero sense, and clashes with the urban theme gen 5 was always supposed to have.

It will probably happen though. Old King of Unova/N-Ghetsis' descendants, original dragon, etc. Release around the same time as the Unova remakes which will be outsourced again and look exactly like BDSP, simply reuse the assets from the previous Legends. Boom. Easy money.

What says this would be a rehash? You idiots think Legends requires the barren waste land new region with heavy focus in catching but it doesn't. It just needs to be a story about the selected legendary. You could make a Legend game about the legendary heroes from SwSh with a medieval theme, or the creation of the three beasts in old Johto, or even new lore about the Kanto birds or the weather trio. There are endless possibilities for GF to take for this. Not every game has to be the same.

I think if we got Origin Forms for Palkia and Dialga in PLA, we can probably say that the OD showing up in at least somewhat feasible. It's just that it might look goofy as all hell. There's a lot of lore for Game Freak to work with when it comes to Unova, a Legends game would work.

There was at least a valid reason to give them Origin forms (mirror Giratina and equalise the Trio, in terms of lore - they all can take a powered up form, utilising the power of their stone. the implication is by the time of Sinnoh, the stones were mined by humans and their power atrophied to just boosting the Types). There's no valid reason to show the OG dragon - much less for the paradox it presents as for the story that would have to be told - or not at all (either it's the story of how one dragon becomes three, or its set in a time before the two brothers sought to split the dragon in the first place).Cant see GF wanting to tell the former and can't see the droolbags accepting the latter.
Best not to bother and do something completely different. Monty Python taught people that one.

None of the ancestors of the characters people care about can appear, because everyone gets burned to death by zekrom and reshiram canonically.

And no there is no colonization from galar, unova and galar have zero history together.
The only region connected to unova is sinnoh, that's it.

And no unovan forms won't look like cowboys or anything that people want, we already know what unovan forms look like. Japanese, they're all japanese.

Unova feels like it's hiding a great deal of lore compared to other regions. With the deeper chinese themed legendaries, the relics, the clans and whatnot.
