I wouldn't know, none of my bros are shiny in my headcanon so I've never bothered with either hunting or injecting.

No. You need one of the games, a switch, N online sub, PKhex, and Discord.
You spawn what you want in PKhex. Save the file for that mon some where.
Then you find a discord with a genning bot. you then upload the PK file to the gen bot's channel. It will send a PM with the details for the trade.

only if i encounter it randomly while going about my business. only shiny i ever hunted was pheromosa in shield cause it was piss easy to do. It's cool and all, but it's not the same. genning them removes all perceived value for me.
