It would be a three stage mon who just gets bigger (one section per stag). Maybe it'd have different formes when they evolve based on stupid conditions (ie. one evolution forme would have a bear on top of a bird, another might have a deer on top of a bird, etc)

I never really saw Xatu as a totem pole, it is clearly inspired by native american culture but that's about it, there isn't really anything pole-like about it. The tapus are clearly a totem pole though.

The tapus are based on the four major gods of Hawaii

but honestly I don't know if the wood carvings of Hawaii can be considered totems, I always associated that with the cultures of North America, if there is any anthropologist here, the clarification would be appreciated
