>>51509767>>51510204It's cause frosmoth is a slow as shit mon with an awful defensive typing. You have to take a hit with it before firing back and boosting is super hard to pull off. Volcarona is strong, has decent speed. It can take hits, can check things, especially after fairy update and now even more with the meme boots. It has recovery, quiver dance boost, good stab, decent coverage, deterrent/punish for contact attackers and even some utility it can sometimes pull out of it's ass.
If frosmoth had it's stats in spa and spe instead of being a weird, balanced, low-avg shitmon with 1 good stat, it would be significantly better both for in-game use and competitive. Ice can't defend for shit and both it's utility and offense is therefore limited by the mon's speed first and foremost.
