>>51509277Singles, VGC is cool but I don't think any of the VGC content creators are as entertaining as the Singles guys I watch, so I'm less inclined to follow VGC stuff. I also just prefer playing Singles, there's too much shit going on in Doubles and I really don't care for Protect as the main form of defensive play. When I make a good switch in Singles it feels like the game state has properly advanced, Protect doesn't have that same feeling for me. Also, for as much as dorks on here complain about muh Landorus-T, VGC is even more overcentralized. It's still a sick format though, and I think it's the right choice for TPC, because games go by a lot quicker and IMO it's easier for casual audiences to understand why something is a good play. Too bad there's only like 3 important double battles in any given Pokemon game. It would be a lot easier to get people into playing VGC if the games actually bothered to include doubles in any meaningful way so people don't feel totally unfamiliar jumping in.
