Today I found an old forum with phone card artwork, and noticed one that looked just like the latiken beta artwork. I never watched the Lati movie, can anyone confirm whether this blue haired girl shows up in the film or not?

The black/red top looks a lot like May's original outfit, but bustier. No joke.

Looking at mismatched sprites, the Regis don't match their final designs, but their colors have this red/green and gold/silver coat.

There were plenty of details closer to gen 2 games than gen 3 proper, just how much of that were testing assets vs straight up porting/making a sequel to Crystal? If anybody can link me up with people/places that know more about development, that would be amazing.

Is obviously a beta design but also the girl is probably supposed to be a potential character for the movie tie-in (Kinda reminds me of the clothing used by the girl in the 2000 movie), then the one in the phone card is probably an early design for May, mostly due to the twintails and her clothes?

IIRC, they're pokemon Emerald specific. The battle pike (snake one) has random events: dusclops/kirlia can randomly attack you and this might add a status like freeze you for the next battle.

The trainer comes and scalds them.

Check the regis again. Red, pink, green? I wonder if it was an intentional pun to keep a red-green pair or if the Japanese dev went with "ao" = green (could translate it as blue too).

Japanese name for corundum sounds the same as Gundam. What could "koran" mean in this context? lul at the poor devs, literally naming your pokemon this in a 2002 game.

Could that explain why they had an all physical levelup set? We're reaching Steven Stone levels of rock autism, more after the break!

now ive got a fanfic where ruby and sapphire are more of a pokemon 3 where gold/crystal are the main character that moves to hoenn from johto instead of brendan/may
