the magic is gone
ever since i've learned about iv/evs and the competitive scene, i can't enjoy pokemon the same way that i used to
before i thought my sunflora was cool in gen 2, but now i see it as a faulty cog in the suboptimal machine that is my team
some monkey part of my brain wants to solve for the best answer at the expense of immersion, and i can't stop it
i've lost the magic of the friends i made along the way
