>>515252931. Look like shit. The GBA had many vastly superior titles graphically. The game is mostly just crappy sprites with a boring greenery or ocean scenario everywhere. Even when it breaks that mold (like the volcano) it still just visually uninteresting.
2. The new mon suck. They looks ugly as hell.
3. Worst plot in the series up to that point by FAR. The villains might be two of the worst ficfional bad guys I've ever seen. Saturday morning cartoon villains have 10X their charm and depth, and they usually suck. It also started the awful trend of world-ending super-pokémon focused plots.
4. Water routes with the same mons for hours.
