I made the distinction because it's not simply a new evolution, it's a replacement evolution
Perserrker is not a Galarian Persian
Galarian Mr Mime still exists, There is no hisuian Weavile, etc

But a regular sneasle doesn't get the choice, his regional form decides what Pokemon it evolves into

I don't consider the rest of the line, cause then it's just a regional form, like Raichu, Marowak.
But when it comes to a completely different Pokemon, what matters is the Pokemon that has the regional.

It doesn't need this many categorizations, I can agree to that, it's a fucking mess and just saying "Regional Evolution" is a lot easier.
but there's a difference when you have to say

The point of the image is to show new evolutions entirely and not necessarily forms
With SWSH, we only got regionals but PLA showed us that we can have true evolutions again, so I was simply separating them

Whereas Wyrdeer and Overqwil evolve through the games gimmick, so IF they return, we would have to see if Gamefreak would alter their evolution methods

SWSH gave us the mindset that we can only get evolutions if they were regional.
Except PLA gave us multiple Pokemon that came from original forms

You can't suddenly change the definition that a Pokemon is regional just because of the evolution

Those are Splits/Branch
"True Evolution" is just talking about previous forms not being regional, it doesn't matter if they are potentially stuck in Hisui, Stantler and Ursaring have new evolutions that aren't locked to THEM being Regional

The arguments about whether a Pokemon is considered regional or not based on location, don't really change the labeling that we got new evolutions to previous Pokemon that don't require them to be regional, just like in Gen 6 and Gen 4.
Ursaluna and Kleavor evolve because of a brand new item, something that can easily be retconned into a future generation to make Ursaring and Scyther evolve again.

The fact that Glaceon and Leafeon got updated to Leaf and Ice stones should've already signaled that

and the location based complain is irrelevant because those eeveelutions used to be "Oh it has to be a rock in this region" or Probopass and Magnezone was "It has to be Mt Coronet or some electrical rock area" who were also updated to just use Thunder Stones by the way

Mega Evolution and true crossgen evos. Wyrdeer and Ursaluna are steps in the right direction but it's still been since Gen 6 with mega evos and sylveon that we got this shit with no strings attached.
