Greetings everyone. I'll try and keep my introduction short. I work at a corporation closely associated with The Pokemon Company. Together with a buddy who knows infinitely more about computers than I do we managed to extract a shitton of info from files located on the cloud. I'm going to share what I learned, of course I can't share all details because I don't want this post to be an essay but please ask me questions.

There's an option to play in 'Classic Mode' which is just HGSS directly emulated to the Switch. 'Enhanced Mode' is HGSS but in 720p (handheld) 1080p (docked), it's in widescreen and it's only one screen. The game is suited to better fit one screen. Modern EXP share is also in this mode as well as the fairy type. Home support will be enabled for both.

Why would they do that? I think an ILCA remake on the same engine as BDSP is way more likely to happen after SV.

Okay. The game takes place very shortly after the burning of the Ecruteak City tower, but before the events of Legends: Arceus. It's not a time travel plot, but there are sidequests related to Celebi and the three beasts. Ho-Oh and Lugia get new forms. Unown/Sinjoh stuff is postgame. Anything else you'd like to know?

Impossible. The tower burned down 150 years before GS events. PLA takes place the latest in 1920s. So for it to be before PLA it needs to be burn down shortly before 1919 which is not 150 years.

Stupid cunt, they ported fucking BDSP, outsold ORAS and made more profit on BDSP, due to earning 40 dollars profit per unit as opposed to the 20 every 3DS game earned because of the $60 price pont for Switch games. Budget doesn't change but the amount they sell for has, meaning the total profits rise.

Pretty sure modern Pokemon games are actually in the "future" by at least a decade, and that PLA was a little earlier. Technology progression aided by pokemon makes aging stuff weird, they both seem to get stuck behind and then have sudden bursts of progression in the span of a couple years and stop again. Like there is a single professor always doing one thing and no one and nothing else.
