>>51545741>that doesn't explain half of either typeWhat are you saying? Are you saying it doesn't include literally all the common themes of those Types, like how Psychics have telekinesis and mind-reading? That's not even what the purpose of the image is for at all. It's showing how these two Types both [sometimes] represent magic, but when they do they do it in distinctly different ways.
In fact, ALL Types signify magic ability to various extents. Virtually all Pokémon have fantastical magic powers that comes from their Type. But there's only 2 Types in Pokémon that serve as a stand-ins for basic magic ability in general. However, just because they both use the same WORD "magic" to describe what they do, doesn't mean we are talking about the same thing here. They are fairly distinct, different KINDS of magic.
Fairy is for Disney magic shit and fae folk shenanigans, which is not even remotely similar to the kind of spellcasting RPG mage that Psychic covers. Delphox is a mage. Like sure, being Fire/Fairy would give it access to a KIND of magic but that would be completely at odds with Delphox being a basic wizard/mage which is firmly Psychic's thing.
