Charvanha and Zarpedo
Living Ichthyosaur-inspired reptiles that split off from the charizard line thousands of years ago and exists now as a distant cousin

Its a Carvanha shaped thing with a charmander-like face and Sharpedo shaped thing with a charizard-like face, both water/fire

Zarpedo has a longer, thinner snout though to more closely resemble an itchthyosaur

For a cowboy region I'm making, I have a regional Unown that is Fire/Steel and based on a branding iron, and if the Tauros/Miltank prevo is leveled up with it in the party, it'll evolve into the regional versions of those 2. Tauros is Steel and based on the cattle described in the song Ghost Riders in the Sky while Miltank becomes a Psychic type Brahmin cow based on Hindu mythology.

Sounds interesting anon. I suppose perhaps you could just make the unown variant a regional fake instead, since unkown seem to be more ancient? Branown?

It’d be cool if the miltank and tauris regionals got a branding mark pattern that corresponds to whichever unown letter was in your party, as a neat little customization feature

Bug type Mankey regional fake thats actually a spider that evolved to look like a monkey, and its based off spider monkeys too.

Yep, that was the idea. Ideally I'd have it to where you would pick your brand early in the game, but I don't know how feasible that would really be for what would likely just be a romhack.

This was also one of the things I thought of when RFakes where first mentioned. It’s not really convergent evolution as Wiglett seems to be, but mimicry Pokémon are fun too.

In a fake region I’m concepting I included a Dark/Flying cuckoo as well, just based off of Staravia because AFAIK cuckoos occupy starling nests at times. Similar but now a harmless species imitating a harmful one, there is a bumblebee imitating a Beedrill

This is my regional fake Seggs (dark/fighting). It looks like 6 eggs but it is actually 6 ambulatory testicles that roll around blasting everything they see with cum. They evolve into Seggtualpredator, a gang of 3 ducks with horrible corkscrew penises that they use to violently gangrape everybody.

Not really a rfake but I thought of a concept that is still related to Darwinian evolution and this is the closest thread so fuck it.
