>>51552404The simple fact of finding out about this (if it is true) reduces the impact of the ending and conditions me to be super critical of it, and most likely now that great sad ending does not meet my expectations and instead of crying I just end up hating a contrived melodrama.
It's like that anime that everyone told me about so emotive and when I saw it it just seemed boring.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but in my experience it's better to be subtle about this and have everyone enjoy it in their own way, rather than trying to force emotions on viewers.
