He catches Pokémon left, right and center and does nothing with the vast majority of them leaving numerous fan favorites to do nothing but serve as a glorified background fixture. He barely trains his Pokémon and is basically handed progress on a silver platter when his Pokémon just evolve suddenly. Hell, the writers couldn’t even be bothered with being remotely subtle at him being a walking Pokémon Go advertisement to the point that his name is Go and his Pokédex would shout ‘Nice’, ‘Great’ and ‘Excellent’ in response to his throws. What were the writers thinking with him?
