The dex in the game is the Kanto dex but they've added the new evolutions and regional forms as well. Which wont be restricted strictly to post game.
The game will also have a day and night cycle, megas, Z Moves, Gigantamax, Dynamax, and size differences.
The regional forms of Kanto Pokemon will be obtainable in the Sevii Islands. These islands have been reimagined as a place where variant versions of kanto pokemon thrive.
Additional changes; some pokemon will have built in over world abilities, such as being ridable across land, water or sky, some will be able to dive, headbutt, cut down trees, and even fish.
Additional Pokémon being added include Turban, and Baby Kangaskhan.
Both of which will have the requirements and dynamics of their evolutions changed in this generation.
