What generation were the "!" and "?" Unowns introduced in? I had always assumed it was gen 4, but there's a video on youtube casually featuring a ! unown in Pokemon Colosseum.

I was under the impression that punctuation Unown first appeared in gen 4 as a reward for getting all the alphabet ones, is that not the case after all? I suppose Unown had to be available SOMEWHERE in gen 3, meaning the could have easily included a similar puzzle there, but I don't really remember them being around at all.
