Really enjoying this, but my one real problem that keeps taking me out of my immersion is that the wild pokemon all just kind of... wander around? Like they're don't behave in a way that really reflects how they're described in dex entries of previous games or even IRL animals for that matter.
There's very little real unique behaviour between species, only exception that comes to mind is graveler which rolls and tumbles around the mountainsides which is cool I guess. I would like to see things like Rhyhorns charging into cliffsides and boulders, Machop doing overheat presses with large rocks, Heracross tipping heavy things over with their horns, Pikachus shocking and eating berries, Golbats hanging from branches and cave roofs etc. They came really close to a perfect "open world" pokemon experience imo, otherwise I'm having fun and would happily start over again. It's pretty, I love the capture mechanics and the grit system>>>>>>>IVs any day.
