Sun/Moon made me realize I do not have a problem with child Champions like Blue/Red/Iris but child Elite Four like Accerola does not seem right for me. Am I the only one?

I hated that. Elite 4 should be adults only. GF is trying to keep the ilusion up that; the experience that comes with the years is a joke. When, in fact, it's not.

My headcanon is that the Champion role changes much more often than Elite 4 which seem to be more like permament full time roles.

But it's maybe my point of view.

It depends, I think both are stationary positions, but just because you become a champion doesn't necessarily you're THE champion that stands at the end to fight challengers. Hence throughout the games we see blue, cynthia, steven, iris, etc all still called champions even after being defeated. Essentially the rank doesn't mean you take over the position, but you NEED the rank to get the position if that makes sense

Did you lorelet even read? She's taking Nanu's place because he refused to be the actual elite four.
Kukui's original plan for the league was having the kahunas (minus Hapu because she wasn't one yet) + the former island champion Kahili

Man, looking at this makes me realise, only Gen 1 and 5 had good Elite Four units. Individual trainers like Drake and Lucian were sick, but as a group of 4, only Kanto and Unovas look like a crew you wouldn't want to fuck with.
