There's no real reason why we can't have all the Pokemon in the game in a post release update world. Games are supported for years after their initial release these days. SWSH alone had 2 waves of Pokemon and had left less than 100 Pokemon out, I wanna say around half of those Pokemon later showed up in BDSP, leaving the total number of Pokemon not on any Switch game around ~50 or so. Gimme a good reason why they couldn't patch SWSH with these last few Pokemon and eliminate the dexit problem entirely. Almost like they have a vested interest in getting people to pay for their shitty subscription service, moron.
