The only bad thing about ghost and dark mons is that the designs become so consistently cool that a little bit of "stylecreep" (for the lack of a better term) starts taking place. If you look at the new Fire/Ghost whose name I forgot, that thing tries incredibly hard to push the envelope on what a cool Pokémon is supposed to look like.

Dark and ghost have always felt like two very similar types to me, like water and ice or ground and rock. Ghost feels like the more magical version and dark feels like the physical version.
I wish we had more ghost/dark types out there

Biggest wishes for ghost types in the upcoming game...
>a terrain or weather effect
>a move like miracle eye to effect normal
>a spooky status condition that lasts when a pokemon is switched out
>disable, mean look, perish song, and pain split being made into ghost type moves (this one is purely for my own ocd)

I already love that we have things like destiny bond, curse, the mummy ability, and trick or treat. I just want a couple more combat niches

Funniest part is even I kinda love fire/ghost, because of the versatility. I still didn‘t choose typhlosion or will choose the fire croc, mostly because inceniroar is my fav fire starter

Make curse a main status like burn/para/freeze etc. that does 1/8th max HP per turn. And make the move curse only take 25% of the users HP.

No that's it so far I believe. So we've got:

Not bad but both ghost/fire and ghost/grass are starting to get a bit oversaturated type wise

Poltergeist is beast mode in competetive since everything has an item.
Phantom force goes through protection and detect and removes them for other attacking pokemon in doubles, along with avoiding spiky shield or removing crafty shields too.
Shadowclaw is great with a crit booster.

Ghosts are about being tricky, not full brute force.

Normal types can be hit by Ghost-type moves
Boosts the power of Ghost-type moves used by affected Pokémon by 30% instead of the previous 50%.
Make a new ghost type move that takes advantage of this terrain in some way, probably something with a secondary affect that curses the target if they're hit by it within ghostly terrain
all the other type shenanigans that come with terrains
