Another weird decision on their part. Imagine if they didn't stick to the asinine tradition of ONLY doing Fire/Water/Grass starters. They locked out many opportunities to make some fun starters.

GFW is a great triangle for kids. The only other triangle uses grass again I think. Grass, Rock and Flying I think.

Fighting type isn't a starter type. Fire is one, so it stands to reason starters will make up a significant amount of the 3-stagers. For comparison, Psychic has 9 3-stagers, same as Fighting. But only Delphox is the starter

when I was a kid, all the kids I knew expected them to change the starter trio for Gen 4. most of the fakemon starters from that period were Dark/Psychic/Fighting. it was just kind of expected that they'd change it soon. lol

If we only count full lines there's only two 3-stage fighting lines. If anything goes they're currently tied 5-5.

Samurott should've been a Water/Fighting type, should have learned Sacred Sword back in Gen V, and should of gotten a steel type signature move that Aegislash would get next gen.
