That seems like a very solid lineup to me, most of them aren't my favorites but are the best of the type within the limitations

Look I can understand legendaries, mythicals, and UBs to an extent. But when you allow g-max, megas, and z-moves but not psuedos, that's retarded and i'm ignoring it

I like this topic, so I'll probably make a few. This guy, We'll call him Vance, would be the 8th Gym leader of Sinnoh in place of Volkner (I made sure to include only mons available in the Sinnoh Regional Dex)
Ideally Vance's AI would be programmed to like to switch when he thinks his Pokémon are in trouble (Ex: you sent out an Infernape or a Machamp against say, his Absol, then used a fighting move), so that Stealth Rock TM that Roark gave you way back in the beginning would be a big help.

Got another for Sinnoh.
I guess this asks the question: "What if Byron was 8th?"
His leading Bronzong helps to prevent a one-shot sweep with Earthquake, while Empoleon provides somewhat of an answer to Fire-Types. I could imagine a duo of Luxray and Infernape managing this fight fine though.

How about a Ghost Gym?
This type is prohibitively rare in the earlier games, so it doesn't really fit before Hoenn (which it would have been great in, you get some solid Ghost and Dark Types around Lilycove, giving you time to train them until Sootopolis)
I know Misdreavus isn't in Hoenn's Regional Dex, but Hoenn's 8th Gym also isn't Ghost Type so I'm taking creative liberties.

Keeping with Hoenn, we'll speculate about the Grass Type.
This is George. He uses Grass Types.
He has six Pokémon because the player is expected to have a Flying-Type by the 8th Gym.
Breloom is his Ace, it has Spore, Focus Punch, Mach Punch, and Body Slam. Bring a Chesto Berry or six.

Crayson is a Ground-Type Specialist, and would be featured as a replacement for Giovanni if GF didn't decide for that to be Blue.
I Intended for all his Pokémon to be large and imposing, so that leaves out options like Gligar or Dugtrio, even though Gligar in place of say, Golem, would lead to a more challenging 16th Gym Leader.

Dion isn't based on any game or region, but I don't expect GF to put a team this stacked into a game. It does not contain any Pokémon that would be illegal evolutions assuming a level of 50. (Giovanni and Volkner match this)

Talon would be a Flying-Type Leader from Kanto.
Unlike his Johtonian counterpart Falkner, Talon despite his name favors the non-avian Flying Types.
The Butterfree's there to spread Status Effects.

I did some thinking, and got curious as to what Blaine's team could look like if you moved it around in the order.
So, I made some:
>2nd Gym
>8th Gym
>Elite Four/Endgame
Flareon has a similar Base Stat Total to Starmie, a Pokémom present in the 2nd Gym in the Kanto games, so it seemed appropriate.
In the later battles, Blaine leads with his Ace to score an Intimidate Attack drop on the Player's lead as a counter to Rock and Ground Types, as well as Waterfall users in Gen 4 and onwards.
Can't really counter Surf with Gen 1's Fire Types though.

Johto's one of the only Regions without an Electric Gym Leader, so I came up with a hypothetical one.
This is Zeke. All of his Pokémon were either introduced in Gen 2 or have pre-Evolutions that were.
Since Gen 2 has 2 Regions and Clair had 4 Pokémon, I feel it's appropriate if Zeke only has 4, if there were a 5th it woukd be Electrode due to its involvement in the goings-on of Mahogany Town.

Haven't done a Unova one yet, or a Female Gym Leader. So here goes.
Renee is a Rock-Type Specialist and an obsessive Ruin Maniac. Afer the player defeats her and obtains the Gravel Badge, she can be found in the Relic Castle from Thursday to Monday.

Unova lacks a Steel-type Gym, so here's my take on it.
One Steel type from each region up to that point, doubling up on Unova since that'd be where I'd be from. Magneton would have an Eviolite equipped.
If I were fought during the main game I'd probably have everything there except Empoleon and Scizor since those aren't in the sequel's Dex, but the rest are.
