Other than ORAS e4 remix missing the claps and Lysandre theme sounding like it came from house of the dead I can't think of anything bad

NTA but I can't really remember much of the music of XY. I recall the Team Flare variants, and specifically Pokeball Factory because I kept hearing it in places and trying to figure what it was among Ace Attorney music instead.

I miss the 3ds. pokemon belongs on a dual screen. TVs are for the battle sims and coliseum.
Nintendo should make a 2 wtih 3d and dual screen capability wirelessly with a tv

That was Gen 5, arguably gen 3 since gen 3 was when the trend of "legendaries tied to plot that you have to fight as part of the game" started.

gen 6 was the last time I think they genuinelly put effort in changing up the gameplay somehow. the way they reworked EV training and online matchmaking made it extremely accessible and in fact is the only time I did online battling, and lots of it.
everything after that has just been shit one gen battle gimmicks, gen 8 open areas were the most vanilla definition of open world and whatever 9 will do is mutuated by legen arceus which was a spin off

There is nothing even slightly innovative about Gen 6. It's probably the most stale generation. Everything in the games had been already done by this point, and done much better by the previous games. The formula of gym and villainous team had been repeated to death. At least Gen 7 brought a breath of fresh air in introducing new concepts that at least changed the series a bit.

Funny because Gen 6 was she one to actually introduce gimmick cancer to pokemon. Imagine how much better the series would have been if instead of creating shitty bangle gimmicks, they put the effort to actually buff pokemon and give them evolutions.

I did specifically mention the two things which made online multiplayer more viable, anything after that has been mainly single player changes which are useless once you finish the main campaign. gen 7 could try something different in terms of single player because it recycled the online infrastructure of gen 6

Super Training is objectively better than running around in tall grass for hours. EXP share is an objective upgrade that was a standard in other JRPGs long before Pokemon even released Red and Green and it took them like 3 decades to catch up. The thing that lets you hunt specific pokemon is amazing and fuck you for implying otherwise.

I remember these times fondly. Often these trainers would try to battle me or try to get their pokemon back by showing me the Bidoof they hatched. Incidentally, I began my living dex while playing X.

So you're saying you want less online features? Not to mention, it also enhanced the original concept of Record Mixing from RSE, probably the only straight upgrade in the entirety of ORAS. Some of that is on StreetPass though, which is useful for when the 3DS online inevitably goes down. After that XY won't have shit and ORAS will at least have something that is less time wasting than mixing records ever was.

Ironically, because of how horde battles worked, it was in fact faster to do that instead of Super Training in the one game it was actually in.

You do need to use a dupe Pokemon to unlock the higher training methods though so there's that caveat, I basically had a very fat pidgey and a 4 252 252 fennekin almost immediately

The bags you get by tapping can also reset stats, boost Stat gains or raise friendship on top of generic +1 +4 or +12 bags

This was genuinely the last time that Pokemon's community wasn't a dumpster fire. The interface was not just well designed, but incentives like O-Powers, Friend Safari, Wonder Trade and a more accessible metagame actually brought players together. Everything since then has been shit because they keep experimenting.
