If we get a colo and xd port without home support and lan trading Ill be pissed. switch is a chance for ribbon masters to be realistically attainable. Right now you have to emulate then use a ds or 3ds to wifi club dns for a certain ribbon and lots of hoops.
XD is also the only way to get a legit mew with fake out

Switch + home could make it so simple

nta but because pkhex and pksm can move pokemon through nearly every game and stadium can transfer between gb games. Therefore pkhex and pksm have a sort of compat with stadium that could be made.
Its not above nintendo to add rby/ gsc to switch and then let players wirelessly connect them to stadia 1 and 2 but require multiple switch's to do it forcing people to own more than 1 switch

Honestly, yeah. If they're making people pay $20 yearly for Home on top of NSO's already hefty pricetag to play Stadium in the first place, adding compatibility between the two titles feels like it should be a priorty. Right now Home is literally a PC box with GTS/Wonder Trade capabilities, it'd be sick as fuck if it was actually like a proverbial train station where you could transfer all your Pokemon to and from various future Pokemon ports and games. Imagine taking a Pokemon from GO and putting it in Gale of Darkness, then taking it out after teaching it some bullshit move and using it in Crystal before transferring it again to be used in SV.

But lmao no one cares about transferring chud #thankyougamefreak. Pokemon could really be so much more than it is right now and the current state of it breaks my heart every day.

there's actually a simpler way they could have done this. Since the RBY games on 3DS can transfer mons to Bank and that can connect to home you can already get those Pokemon on Switch into something like SwSh so at that point they'd just need to setup transferring from Home to Stadium with compatible mons.

the base movesets for pokemon stadium are garbage, which is why you were meant to use your team from RBY

im just not gonna buy it is all
i own stadium 1/2 and have pokemon red, if i want to play these games i can just play them it's nothing special. even if i went without you can download the pokemon red rom on internet archive as freeware, and finding a rom of stadium probably wouldnt be too difficult either.
nintendo lost me as soon as heard there was no online, it's an inferior version of the original product with no modern advantages outside of playing it on a console i havent turned on in 17 months

In a perfect world they would have gen 1-3 on the switch already and have them work with Home, both ways. Using that to transfer mons to the older console games.
I'd actually pay abit more than the base online price if they had a "Pokemon Plan" that included all the old games in their own app.
Well almost all of them. getting the DS/3DS games on switch in playable fashion without major reworks is impossible, you know with the lack of a second screen.

If they had released this a few years ago, when the 3DS was still supported, they could have let you communicate directly between the 3DS and Switch. That's actually a feature the two systems have, but I think Monster Hunter XX is the only game that actually utilized it.
