For real in all serious it is such a shithole nation. Me and Marti went there a couple summers ago. It is infested with flies and arab descendants. Not sure why GoyFreak would choose such a shithole nation.

Putting the games in real world locations was always a mistake. Gens 1-4 were loosely based around real life areas in Japan but it’s a far cry away from Unova going “LOOK ITS LITERALLY JUST NEW YORK!” or Alola going “LOOK ITS LITERALLY JUST HAWAII!”. Really removes a lot of the weirdness of the world.

There's nearly no difference in philosophy of map design from gens 1 to 5 insofar as they represent real life locations. Is this just an issue of you never having been to Japan? The first two gens feel a bit more abstract owing to hardware, but gen 5 is no more "LITERALLY NEW YORK" than gen 4 isn't "literally Hokkaido." I sort of agree with Alola though; it was one-note and fucking boring.

The region map would have a similar Galar shape and we would have two regions in a row with such an equal path.
I think Spain was chosen for this.
Probably the next region will be Italy and then Germany as they are countries loved by Japan and with a recognizable culture

Sono stato spesso in Abruzzo, sinceramente mi sembra perfettamente in linea con i paesi occidentali.
Forse esageri un pochino nel definire una realtà sicura come shithole, è una definizione che darei solo alle metropoli italiane (che comunque sono spesso migliori delle loro controparti europee)
