>>51586991Because they’re not dumpster fires. Normies don’t have the impossible high standards of /vp/eons. Most of them will pick it up and play once, and for casual gamers SwSh was a fun little romp thanks to its massive freedom of teambuilding and a snappier pace than SM. Casuals also don’t shit and cry about transfers because they usually don’t play enough to actually get to the stage they’d want to transfer, so for them every game basically is a soft Dexit.
Comp players like it because of how convenient getting comp ready Pokémon is. Dynamax is the best gimmick VGC has had compared to Megays and Pee-Moves. Compfags are also going to care less about Dexit.
Even more intense fans just enjoy the gameplay and world of Pokémon. SwSh might not be a masterpiece, but you’re delusional if you think it’s anywhere near the level of garbage fire as other games that get the hate it does.
The real letdown is for players who are heavily invested in the single player, most of whom will still buy it to experience a new campaign even if they don’t like it.
Basically it boils down to most people not being autistic as /vp/ and Reddit and just buying a game and enjoying it because the biggest issues don’t effect them.
