Survive's promotion also receive criticism due to the lack of announcement and the constant report.
As for WithTheWill, don't mix up the moderation with the users. I agree that the moderators are shit, but you can still see many complains regularly, being for Adventure 2020 still receiving backlash to this day, to some people being annoyed because Ghost Game is still episodic.
Unless you only consider that fans who like things you don't, you cannot say that Digimon fans are blind towards Digimon. I would say that 50% dislike Frontier, many of them for the lack of partner only, many criticize Savers, Xros Wars, Adventure 2020 and a few disliked Universe and Ghost Game. But the ones disliked by some are loved by others.
While you can see some criticism for Pokemon, it's generally brainless between bait and Pokefags defending some of the new design to an absurd level (the whole discussion with convergent/divergent evolution) or saying "I didn't like it at first but after watching it for 2 hours, now he's one of my favorite", they defended the Dexcut, the imposed Share EXP, the graphics of PLA ("But; GF is a small team is a tight schedule"), Pokemon shrinking, they also defend every new gimmick and their removal, and you had one guy who was so obsess with proving that Pokemon had the powers of gods that, while debating with him, he reached 3 points: humans in the Pokemon's world are stronger than Hulk, they can clone themselves and have a toon force making them able to sustain black holes and because Pokemon are stronger than human, therefore Pokemon are better than those 3 points.
