Can anyone help me clear up this mandela effect I'm experiencing?
I distinctly remember walking around Treasure Town as other Pokemon like Palkia in Explorers of Darkness back when it first came out. I just unlocked the leader change functiom in Sky though and the change only applies in dungeons.
Am I losing my mind? was this always how it worked?

Well they didn't care as much with the story in the first game so it didn't feel out of place to suddenly replace the main characters with an articuno

I still need to complete Destiny Tower in Sky, but after that I’m gonna play through either Gates or DX for the first time. I’ve heard DX is a lot better, but I’ve already played the original Rescue Team so I dunno.

a manip'd wish cave run takes maybe 30-40 mins if you know what you're doing. Recruiting a chansey takes who the fuck knows how long x2, then you need to iq grind one of them. For things like Ponyta and Exeggutor, it's also faster.

Changing protag was a weird feature to begin with, don't miss it at all. The zones where your teammates were living however were great and too bad they took that away in pmd2, but then again pmd2 brought so many new features in return that it's hard to complain about minor stuff.

Grass, simply cause it's what I know. It doesn't seem like the best choice for someone who knows what they're getting into though.
All the dialog seems to suggest it's a bit sparsely populated and very out of the way, plus the technology is inferior to the stuff seen in super, like the mission boards vs the connection orb.
I'd be interested to see a timeline because maybe they take place a long time from each other, but it is interesting if there's like 1st and second world Pokémon countries.
It would be cool to be a part of the "Pokémon frontier" and be on the frontlines of exploration though.
