>Kalos PokemonProbably my favorite set of the newer games. Fewer Pokemon, but I have an easier time remembering them all. Kalos mons are very good, lots of unique abilities and moves being tied to them. SM follows a similar trend, giving most Pokemon a unique role or something to do in the world. This seemed divisive, but I wouldn't mind if ~70 became the norm.
>GameplayThere was A-LOT of activity and discussion around XY's new features.
Fairies I liked, because it was the first time since GS where the type matchups were new.
Mega Evolution was exciting, since each Pokemon had radical changes made to their stats and abilities. Led to limitless speculation about who will get a new form next.
PSS felt like the first proper multiplayer network in a Pokemon game, because the DS technology was so much more limited. It was great to play with friends or the global communities online so seamlessly.
Super Training was a boon for casual players who started to develop an interest in competitive scene.
Character creation, it was nice to see other people's unique avatars online instead of the MC for a change.
Generally pleased with all of this, and I might even be forgetting some things.
>StoryI remember liking it, but apparently its not popular. I liked the Kalos backstory, this pristine French society with an awful history underneath once you start doing your homework and talking to people.
Overall had a good time playing at launch. Great to play with the community and discover all the new stuff that was added.
