>>51601287So, instead of doing things like giving players agency and allowing them things like turning off EXP share, improving the AI, difficulty settings, challenge modes, etc, you believe them introducing even more grind is "perfect game design"?
Nearly every single good TM is locked to either postgame or maybe the Elite 4/Victory Road where everyone is already using their best moves anyway, when people talk about how Pokemon is braindead easy, it's not because of the TM boogeyman, it's because the games handhold you to death with things like forced EXP share, a complete lack of any meaningful gauntlet or dungeon and the newly introduced auto battle, meaning anyone with half a brain can easily shitstomp these games because Gamefreak refuses to acknowledge how at least 50% of their audience is over the age of 11. The big bad earthquake TM is not even top 10 on the list of issues plaguing Pokemon's main story.
Now their solution is to make the postgame grind even grindier because they're too inept to properly balance their ~20 hour campaign. 25 years of these games and gym leaders are still primarily locked to a single type, get fucking real if you think TMs are the issue. Only shills can possibly defend this.
