even from the exp share? I thought only the Pokemon who participate in the battle have their exp scaled. it was scaled in Gen V, and it's been scaled again since Gen VII, i doubt they would change it now.

I remember my Blastoise in Pokemon Blue. After seeing that he needed a few more exp to become level 100, I went to the first road, to fight Rattata and Pidgey again and again. They would just gave my 1 exp point each at that point, so I continued until the statut screen indicated "Blastoise, level 99, need 1exp to become level 100". He was my very first Pokemon to go level 100.

No, it fainted just the same as all Pokemon have fainted since Gen 1, meaning it's not dead. It just left behind a tuft of fur that presumably fell off as a result of the battle. You seem to only get one kind of material from each specific kind of Pokemon, though.

I know /vp/ doesnt play the game or when they do they cheat all the game play then complain there is nothing to do but... you'll still get a nice 10 hour game
