Why do you tards still think he's gonna use Eternatus? That'd have to be the ultimate cheat of the entire series. Literally none of Ash's Team outside of Chu and Cario are strong enough to even rival G-Max Charizard. The only way I could picture Ash winning against Eternatus would be if Pikachu used Z Move against Eternatus and then Lucario mega evolves and finishes the job, but all their will power feels like it'll be used only on Charizard. Realistically, Ash must have atleast one reservation to even go against Eternatus, and the only reserve that would seem likely is Greninja since he's one of Ash's only pokemon to get an entire episode + importance to the story in this season.

It's not very common for Pokemon battles to last longer than two episodes, but when they do, they don't go past 3-4.

Anon, yugi's aimed at 12 year olds, Pokémon's aimed at 7 year olds. Aside from fillering out the arc with two extra episodes, older kids can be expected to keep track of happenings from 4 weeks previously when they bring it back up for part 5 or 6, whereas with kids, it's nearly best to write to traditional 3-act stories and join them together to play out, than try and tell a 6 week serialised story and have kids remember the macguffin that finishes the battle.
So unironically, kill yourself if you're going to ignore the intended audience, because you're a massive weeb fucker who can't help but watch all Japanese kids cartoons.

Because they wanted to make kids forget about it. Pika's got his own special Z-Move yes. But also its own snowflake Gmax form and a collection of Z-Crystals on top. Which is why it's going to be Gmax Pikachu vs Gmax Charizard. Wouldn't be the first time /vp/ would be wrong when they decided who'd use what gimmicks, after all. Babies are still fucking triggered by DynaKiss not letting them have a Gen 6 rematch.
