>>51617780>>51618589It's surprising that people are actually sticking up for rainbows considering this general's disdain for them. I like rainbows too, but I feel like these gold cards are the "upgraded" version of them, where making them black and gold gives them somewhat of a classy streamlined look in constrast to the rainbow's gaudy colors and sparkling.
>>51617810Yeah it's a good feeling to see cards you like be cheap, like the trainer galleries, i'm surprised that those are all mostly under $10 each.
>>51618589>they are literally just palette-swaps of existing cardsYeah but so were shiny vault FAs but people loved them. So are rainbows to Vmax' and FA trainers. So are gold energies. But i'd rather have all this rehashed stuff over more CGI/5ban shit
>>51618452>There's so much going on that it's hard to even make out what's what at a glanceI get it, when you remove a mon's signature colors, it's harder visually to tell what's going on. But they did the same thing with the old Dialga/Palkia silver cards and people seem to love those
I'm just saying there are many techniques they are using with these new gold cards that they've used before yet these are the ones that seem to be failing, for now. I wouldn't be surprised that if in 10-15 years these cards shoot up in price. Or if they make more recognizable (KANTOOO) mon then it may take off but until then they'll be relegated to be subpar releases
