Bulbasaur is part Poison, which is noteworthy on its own
Chikorita has the best support capabilities of any games' starters with Aromatherapy, screens, and self-healing in Synthesis
Treecko has Agility, which is always good in pmd
Turtwig gets the short end of the stick, I struggle to find any particular use it has over the other starters. Even Dark coverage is gotten earlier by Treecko!
Snivy gets Coil, which isn't huge, but worth noting.
Chespin has really good offensive coverage options compared to every other Grass starter.
Other starter I'd like to note is that Fennekin is basically the closest thing PMD's gotten to a proper Psychic type starter.
