>>51621202GS's major issue that goes mostly unsolved in HGSS is the level curve, which weirdly they tried to mitigate by making the game more linear but didn't do enough especially when they increased Red's level as well. Aside from that I think HGSS covered everything, less glitches, more balance, improving Kanto (and even Johto itself). Not to mention a nice helping of more bonus content in a game that's already pretty good at it. All that at the cost of a few interruptions in the early game and running on the Gen 4 engine so it's really slow in some places.
Compare that to DP being ungodly slow for apparently no reason and some aesthetic fuckups despite that, on top of some progression annoyances. I might have let it slide if you said Platinum, since it's got some issues just from being a Sinnoh game still, but DP is dreadful to actually play moment to moment.
