I've been pitching this idea on /vp/ for a bit, but I'm all in favor of a modular Home experience. That is to say, if Home is really going to be a subscription service the least they could do is give us a reason to use it beyond storing Pokemon. I'm all in favor of a Stadium attachment to regular Home that just lets us do online battles with the Pokemon in there. Hell, doing that takes some of the heat off of the core franchise games (tournaments and ranked play could be done through Home instead). Just do it and charge people a one time 10 dollar fee for it on top of the normal sub. Also, just do a bunch of modular additions and charge for all of them. Pokemon Refresh, Stadium, hell do a Contest modular add on. They'd make tons of money doing this shit.
If they want this to be a quick buck, they wouldn't even have to import 3d models for it. Just use the Home art and make the battles 2D traditional fights ala gen 4 and below. Fuck, if they do that they could change what the 2D images they use for battling are. You got a Venusaur from the VC games? It uses first gen art. Got a Swampert you hatched as an egg in gen 5? It uses BW art. etc etc etc.
