Considering the emphasis is on the DO as opposed to ONLY, then yes. When I do play on cartridges, they are indeed authentic.
If the emphasis was on ONLY, then no. I play on emulators sometimes, or VC Blue/Crystal on the 3DS. Which I guess is still just emulated.

No, but I do play them on hardware, with only mGBA on the 3DS. Twilight on 3DS, h-shop for 3DS and I just install Switch games on my banned Switch. I put the roms on my personal space and they'll last longer then carts and no battery for old shit.
