DESU I prefer the SwSh ones.
Also the UI as a whole.
It was simple and basic but it was aesthetic too.
SV UI looks off, ugly, like they made it the last minute for the trailer. Or they left the placeholder and called it a day.

I mean look at the PLA UI for fuck sake!

dark is arguably a better representation of the type but still looks like bubbly cartoon shit

The ones in the op are the same ones in BDSP. They fixed ambiguous shit like dark, fairy, and poison but they ruined grass, normal, and steel. Ground, psychic, and rock have been terrible for ages. They fixed the backwards electric symbol but it's too pikachu which is dumb.

I don't even expect them to look good, I just want to look at it and decipher it immediately instead of trying to fugure out what pink symbol is.

I was talking about psychic. I don't want to get into a whole discussion about colors because those never end but to me psychich has more of a bubblegum pink, peachy color. Fairy has more of a fuchsia, light purple color. That's what my eyes see.
