Can they please confirm if I can turn off the Exp. Share already? I want to know whether I will be able to enjoy Violet, or if I should skip it. I refuse to play the game if I cannot raise my Pokemon my way.

And about Charizard dilemma. Same happened in SwSh at first only Charizard was in the code and in the Galar Dex.

In SwSh fighting with everyone you end with a team at most at level 60.

Other thing is if you battle and beat every single wild pokémon trainer go to multiple matches with special npcs etc.

Second, you just get a portion of the experience not the whole.
Third: catch with lower levels, that's why the experience is shared more for the lower levels lesser for the higher levels.

So you can make a level 10 get in tune with a lvl 40 team in a couple of battles.

The game was made to do that.

Having higher levels doesn't make the game harder just makes you grind more.

To be honest there is some merit to the nu-exp share.
I just returned to an Emerald save file, everything is going good until the level curve goes nuts with Tate and Liza, one calm mind and Xatu starts one-shotting my shit. I have to chase around Gabby and Ty to level up a Slaking and a Dusclops. Not fun.
The whole party getting exp at once and destroying every enemy isn't too fun either, but it is faster, and ultimately I think faster is better, I'm just trying to get to the Battle Frontier.

Yes but it is no longer the optimal way to play if you’re going in blind. You figure out pretty fucking quick in Red/Blue that anything you can catch is weaker than your starter and since nobody else gets xp kids just use the starter the whole game.

Motorstoke Gym is at best Level 27.
Your team must be Level 24 or if you keep doing every battle you end with a Level 30 team.

And by the end of the game fighting Leon, I was in the mid 80s. Just that shitty tournament that replaces the E4 bumped my team up from ~65ish to ~82ish.

I can't believe you because I played like anybody would in my first playthrough and still Eternatus was at a highest level than my adventure team. And Eternatus I wanna remind you is at LEVEL 70.

So no, the only way of getting Level 80 in the league is by going to raids.

Even with battles like the Macrocosmos tards Oleana and Rose still doesn't give you that much of experience.

Pokemon doesn't need grinding even without the exp share. Pokemon with the exp share is so over-the-top easy it's painfully boring to slog through. My party is consistently several levels higher than everything I'm fighting. i turn off animations and just spam A in battles; I don't even bother checking to see what I'm fighting.
