>>51660204There is a literal story involving AZ and his dead Pokemon anon. GameFreak isn't terrified of talking about dead Pokemon, or even certain subjects in their games. The only difference here is that for a Nuzlocke, Pokemon are considered dead or unusable and to be boxed or released, whereas they naturally just faint in the game. There is no changing the code or anything of that nature equatable to a Romhack or a Randomizer, it is simple a challenge made run, because based on this logic, only using a single Pokemon to beat the game, is also considered equatable to a Romhack, as its also an unintended way to the play the game, as is a Nuzlocke, both self-imposed challenges by the players.
Now with all that said, assuming that one defending the challenge of a nuzlocke (if you even want to call it a challenge in reality, its still Pokemon and piss easy) is a streamer and that everyone that does one is only doing it as a job is one of the most ludicrous and beyond stupid assumptions I've seen on /vp/ in awhile, and that says a lot because there are plenty of retarded ass hot takes here hourly.
You're also arguing for a series that conceptually started out as humans whipping the fuck out of Pokemon and basically mistreating them into cock fighting, now granted it changed because they realized that was too much, and for good reason, just as Pokemon faint rather than die, but its a bit silly, just as they backtrack on Pokemon being food sources despite the games straight up saying that some Pokemon or parts of them are delicious. Pokemon tries to be as kid friendly and as open as possible without delving into specifics. If they wanted to say that Nuzlockes are not intended way to play the game and they don't support it, then that is fine, that is their prerogative, but equating them to a Romhack shows just how of touch they actually are, where they don't even understand the most basic of concepts, which is why they struggle to explain away Machamp's speedo.
