Cute design, sees like she'll be annoying thought. Frog is fine, for some reason I didn't even register the eyes on the side of the head and immediately say his actual eyes as eyes. /vp/ is annoying, not much is new though.

Two Hydreigons, a brother and sister, I masuda method bred in Ultra Moon. They'll both run different roost sets.

Sparkles happen when you encounter it, you'll need to pay attention. I recommend turning your sound on to hear for them

I'm kinda curious how people decide what to shiny hunt. Do you hunt your favorite mons? Shinies you think are particularly good color schemes? Mons you want to have to show off in competitive?

I've hunted a few mons I particularly like, but not my absolute favorite mons. Somehow feels weird.

Suicune in 35 DA and necrozma in 208. Was really disheartened getting suicune first but necrozma came right after.

The first announcement was dumb. I don’t really care about knowing the characters before a Pokémon game they don’t really matter to me. I don’t really care for belibolts design either. A lot of the new designs have been misses when I really think about it.
I don’t really care if they’re mia in scarlet. I do have a list of Pokémon I want back especially if hey have apricorm balls and Safari balls in game.

Starting out you don't know the sid though. You have to deduce your sid by going through various potential hit frames.
I don't consider manipulation hacking because you're still engaging with the games in an intended way, you're just using game knowledge and outside tools to take advantage of the games rng system.

PLA, trying to get my hands on the Alpha shiny Hisui Pokemon before SV comes out without burning myself out. So far I've got Ursaring, Dewott, and Scyther. I also got an Alpha Heracross and Alpha Spiritomb I'm happy with.

You’re not doing this at all, nobody at GF ever intended for you to use a third party tool to manipulate seed generation

Sure but again that’s why it’s inefficient, just dump your cart to determine your SID, people with the ability to do this step that initial set up entirely.

-iono is an annoying bitch who gave me a migraine to the point where I had to watch her second trailer on mute, she is the reason I'm thankful there's no voice acting and I hope there never will be

-bellibolt has a great concept with bad execution, a running theme since gen 7 lol. Its color scheme is weird, its eyes look off (the eyes would look better if they looked more like a standard Pokemon's instead of akin to something you'd buy at a toys-r-us), and it's so obviously made purely for easy merch that it's kind of sad. At least Miraidon did something creative with the plastic gel tech idea by making it part of the dewlap instead of just making a wannabe lava lamp with stubs for legs

-the state of vp is the same always; horny dudes lusting over minors, everyone else arguing over stupid shit that isn't even true 90% of the time. sad that the comfy threads seem to have died and all the pmd ones just got invaded with pokefuckers like the rest of the catalogue, but not surprised in the slightest. chuckling a bit at how far the board is reaching to shit on SV's graphics since (other than the style of the humans) that's arguably one of the only fields it's been doing arguably pretty well in.

none because I don't transfer up my shinies past gen 4 and probably won't touch violet after my sibling gets bored and drops it lol

then I'll try and pawn it off to someone who cares more than i do. playing the newer games just makes me sad man. gonna try and get into indie shit instead (not monster-catching indies- those're just worse Pokémon).

i dont like vtubers, i dont like Iono. I dont really have any problems with most of the newer pokemon designt but i dont like bellibolt at all. i dont care about the state of vp, im rarely on here and when i am i stay in the threads that interrest me.

So, leading with a pokemon that has "Cute Charm" ability in Gen 4 seems to actually increase chances of shiny encounters dramatically. Combine that with Pokefinder in DPP and you get much better chances of finding shinies than usual
What are some other somewhat hidden exploits like this for other gens? Hard to keep up with every single one

two nights ago, I was fishing south of Fuchsia City in Soul Silver, trying to get a Staryu with a modest nature. Found and caught a shiny Krabby instead.
Gave up on trying to get a modest Staryu, it was taking too long.

Actually taking a pause from Shiny hunting today to make some much needed progress in one of my other games.

Finally hatched a Shiny in UM about a day ago.
Felt like I haven't hatched a Shiny in that game in forever.

Bellibolt is probably the most disappointing frog/toad Pokemon in the series.
It looks more like an odd, slightly modified Chansey/Blissey simply painted green and with "eyes" where its "hair" should be.

Not buying SV, just like I didn't buy SwSh before it, so I'll continue hunting what ever I feel with none of those concerns.

That is a very limited perspective. There are shinies that are inclined to be square or star based on method so sometimes one is more scarce than the other. Like my shiny Umbreon which I bred using the masuda method is square and that coincidentally is more rare. My shiny Regieleki is a star shiny despite it being inclined to be square. So while I don't really have prejudice about square or star I definitely agree with you, who would put a shiny in an ugly or unfitting ball, yuk!

I like it better than SoS. I just wish there was a button you can hold to sneak, sometimes I get a muscle spasm in my thumb and the pokemon runs and the chain breaks, but I've had way better luck with dexnav than any other shiny hunt method.
Just don't bother hunting in caves.
