>>51670155>Either go with the original premise of his character (have him doing PoGo research quests, where catching Pokemon would be just one of many quests) OR introduce Project Mew much earlier on, so Goh has more missions to complete.>Rival early on; either bring Gary back earlier (as was originally planned) OR give Goh an OC rival. And give him a second, possibly third rival. Adds tension/conflict to PoGo quests/PM missions, giving Goh room to grow/more chances to fail, and gives him more characters to play off of.>Keep the Ash/Goh bromance, but highlight differences in personality/decision making more frequently, so they clash at times, but still respect/like each other. Let the boys have a "mini-arc" where they actually have a fight over something, and have to learn how to understand each other's outlooks better. Have them be closer than ever before after the arc is resolved.>A deeper dive into his years before Ash, explore why he had so many failed friendships and how being alone so much shaped his personality, resulting in him taking longer to trust Ash, and not being as inconsistent when meeting strangers/Ash's past companions.>Spend more time on solving problems with his Pokemon (the Raboot stuff is a mess).>Have him rely a little more on Ash's experience, and in return, use his analytical skills to help Ash (like with battling, or something, this way they help each other get stronger).I actually really like Goh and don't think a good portion of the criticism against him is fair/makes sense. Sometimes people straight up lie about him, like calling him a "thief" and "poacher" which is not true. He could stand some improvement, but overall I'm happy with him. Also, him not being a girl is not something that should be held against him or a reason to hate/be angry at his character. Same with the perception that he's gay, which isn't even canon.
