Unpopular opinion: smogon would be ok if OU was the only tier with autism. Ubers would be the ban list of OU (it used to be, but now they also ban things from ubers) and the lower tiers would just be a natural usage-base trickle down (instead of having banlists and autism of their own). I'd be ok with OU being their precious autism circle jerk if they were more hands-off with the other tiers, but nowadays every tier plays the same because all tiers aim to create the same feeling of a "balanced" "metagame" just with different / shitty mons for lower tiers and high bst mons in ubers.

It was even more broken in Doubles. It basically ignores the 2 most important moves in Doubles, all stat buffs increase for your partner, while debufg affect the target’s partner, all while also providing cancerous strategies.

I wish they would desu. Shit is fucked and you can’t expect GameFreak to balance hundreds of Fully Evolved Pokemon, make them all unique, and also release it along side a singleplayer RPG.
There reason is at least understandable. They don’t want to get their game taken down or having to also balance hundreds of Pokemon, as well as hundreds of moves/items/abilities.

Because they held a suspect test, and of the 241 eligible players, 209 voted to ban it (86.7%). In order to qualify, players required a GXE over 80 and over 40 games played.

The suspect test forum post was made December 2nd, 2019, only 2 weeks after the game launched. They wanted it gone and so they made it happen
