>>51689998>Where exactly are you even finding people to play with that are so obsessed with Smogon outside of Smogon itself?Any time I meet someone that shares Pokémon as a hobby and we end up battling each other for fun, usually from college or whatnot. A quarter of the time they don’t know anything outside single player and the battle will be pretty one-sided. Another quarter of the time they’ll be okay with fighting my team once but ask me to never use it against them ever again since Glalie is too frustrating to take down (I usually use a gen 6 or 7 Mega Glalie team instead). Legitimately half the time they close the fucking game and no longer want to talk to me once they realize I have a moody Glalie or when the ability boosts evasion the first time. Some guy wanted me banned from a local campus tournament (even though I wasn’t using moody Glalie) because I wouldn’t be fun for anyone to play against because of my “jank” strategies.
>>51690232>It's hard to take issue with this when the perspective being denounced is an exclusionary one that seeks to do the exact same thing to niggers and trannies.Maybe it would if it were the mainstream perspective, but I have only ever found Smogonfags to be particularity insufferable. It’s just so frustrating that legendaries are apparently deserving of a seat at the table like anything else, but a quirky ice-type with a terrifying, snowballing ability is not.
