I don't have any screenshots but I remember Lass being white and a Lass standing next to Chansey in Hearthrome being black, Aroma Ladies being white, and an Aroma Lady where the old GTS, the new GWS being black. The only 2 examples that I remember off the top of my head.

Holy hell you're right
So not only did they do a piss poor job at making a remake, but they also made the games retroactively WORSE by pandering to the "Modern Pokemon" audiences
ORAS and HGSS didn't have any black NPCs added just for the hell of it, and those were much better remakes(even ORAS introduced new Mega evolutions and gave use Delta Episode)
I didn't pay any attention to the game, and boy am I glad I didn't, adding in shit like this only to "modernize" the game just shits on their legacy and makes a mockery of them
Speaking of which, what the hell is a GWS? I assume they didn't bring back GTS just for this game when SWSH didn't have it

Also if I remember the union room characters they force you to use based off the trainer classes are like this to, some of them are the black model. Not sure if it's based off the Dawn/Lucas you choose or they just randomly give you a black avatar

ほら最近忍者の里の新ルールだとか何だとかで「転載禁止言えといわれても書かなかったら水遁」とか出来たじゃん
いや実はそのルールの議論の中心人物俺なんだけど、だけど早く実施してほしいもんだよ
