>>51690406I was 9 when Pokemon hit the U.S. I remember gen 1 well. Overall the games are pretty bad when compared to what the series would evolve into, at the time nobody cared about competitive much, we all just battled among our friends with link cables and through Stadium when it came out. The one thing I miss from gen 1 was the duplicate items glitch. Exploited the hell outta that. We'd all be out there with the same teams Charizard, Mewtwo, all three legendary birds and alakazam at level 100.
Honestly I didn't learn the lavender town mew glitch until I was an adult. But yeah, I don't consider myself a genwunner but unless you were there, you will never understand. Personally gen 3/oras are my favorite generation.
