Kenny is less forgivable because DP Ash is stronger than AG Ash. DP Ash is pretty strong.

Drew, though? Drew demonstrated he had skills as both a battler and performer. These two things compliment and enhance each other, whether he's battling or in a contest hall. I don't think Ash's loss to him is unbelievable. A rematch later on in AG would've been welcomed, though.

AG felt more like May's show while Ash just being a background character. Maybe the writer saw the entire AG series as a shoujo manga with May being the protagonist and Drew being the hero which is why he wanted to make Ash look compare to him.

It is at the core of what Amourshippers want, a ship with real romace, it is what separates it from other ships in the anime and the culmination of the appeal to Amorshippers. You can see how important it is because of how many shippers use it as proof of the ship's supremacy over other ships because shippers only care about a ship that has real romance.

Uh yeah we did. Iris considered Cynthia her mentor and wanted to show her how she’s grown. Cynthia considered Iris worthy of her full power despite the fact she could’ve beaten her without. Alain’s new dream was aspiring to defeat Leon and his Charizard. Steven has been interested in Ash just like everyone else in Hoenn apparently and the very thought of defeating Ash brought out a sense of passion that neither Alain nor Diantha have ever seen from Steven before. Steven didn’t feel confident that Alain was strong enough to stand toe to toe with Leon. Leon sees Diantha as his equal in terms of performing during battles. Diantha was passionate about feeling like Cynthia would be the one to defeat Leon and sit at the top. Cynthia’s battle with Ash is what reignited her passion for battling and even made her nostalgic to when she was on her journey to become Champion. Despite losing, Lance still took the chance to pass the torch on to Ash. The tournament has been very ripe with interactions and development for each of the characters.

The fact that they are using hidden abilities is really cool in itself but also Leon copying Ash’s strategies and using it against him just like Paul did is going to be killer. I can understand why Aegislash and Haxorus aren’t there, and frankly I couldn’t give two shits about Rhyperior and Seismitoad. I think it’s a good team. The Galar Champion meant to mimic the MC with all three starters makes a lot of sense.

The new game has 3 quests, only 1 of which is gym related. Maybe that's where they take Ash next. They pair him up with some gym challenger to mentor, and he does the 'other' quests. Ash rejected the Frontier Brain position, I would expect him to give up any monarch duties

I like the idea of him doing the other quests but still coming across veteran trainers, like Shinji, or Korrina's mentor, that never competed or that aged out of competing heavily. They'd put up a crazy fight and it'd make for a tighter story.

I have Kids Station. They air both the current series and the old 90s series on it.

Other than seeing Pikachu run under a skirt- a shot cut for the West for obvious reason, sure was interesting back then that they were pretending the Poke world was somewhere in Japan. Runes, all them runes.

Theoretically speaking the TV anime doesn't need to follow Ash anymore since the movie series still exists. It just went off the rail after Reboot M2- presumably because they stopped banking on nostalgia.

Pokemon battles does not work like that. Different pokemon perform differently against different pokemon due to their different physiology, typing , ability & moveset. I can see Ash's Pikachu struggling against Iona's Bellibolt because of its squishy body absorbing hits from Pikachu's physical attack which also boost its Electric moves due to its ability Electromorphosis.

Furthermore Ash can used new inexperienced pokemon against Paldea trainer.
