Why are people retroactively trying to paint gen 4 as the worst generation now?
Everyone and their grandma know DP aren't good games, but Platinum managed to solve every single problem with it, and to top it off HGSS, the arguably best games in the franchise, came right after.
I don't understand how some people can put gen 3 as the best and gen 4 as the worst when they're incredibly similar. Gens 3 and 4 are the most similar gens, so if you like Emerald there's no way you won't like Platinum as well. Both of them are very polished games that follow a very similar formula and take place in great regions with awesome routes and dungeons. Emerald, Platinum and HGSS are objectively the peak of the Pokémon franchise.
I guess the problem is that a bunch of people who started playing Pokémon in gen 5 are now old enough to post here and they are trying to bash in gen 4 to make their favourite generation look better, and I'm tired of this.
After they finish bashing on gen 4, the Unovabortions will change their focus to gen 3, so we need to stop this right now. I'm here to ask my fellow gen 3 bros to help us defend generation 4.
Btw, the first game I played was Crystal, and this is my ranking of the generations:
3>4>2>5>6>1>8>7
